IPG Counseling – the Institute for Personal Growth – is one of New Jersey’s most renowned and respected psychotherapy practices. We treat clients throughout northern and central NJ and have new offices in New York City. Our practice works with individuals, couples and families for a variety of mental health issues.

We also are one of the very few organizations in the NYC metropolitan area with a sex therapy program: five AASECT-Certified Sex Therapists and twelve sex therapy Residents in our Certified training program help individuals and couples with a wide range of sexual difficulties. When our twelve Residents complete the two-year training program, IPG will be the largest provider of AASECT-Certified sex therapy in the Northeast. In addition, we have always been known for our work with sexual minorities: gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer and transgender people as well as those in the BDSM/Kink and polyamory communities.

Our therapists have compiled some useful links to other websites on mental health, sexuality and sexual minority concerns. We’ve also created a comprehensive Resource Guide for transgender people and their allies. In addition, we include staff recommendations of books – our Libraries – that provide information for self-help activities.
